Oldtent Archives 2010

Thinking back to this time last year it would have been truly hard to imagine what these ole eyes have seen in the past twelve months. Think Gold has done rather well this year. The Tent expanded and survived an upgrade or two. Guess most of us have hung onto our ounces, and perhaps added a few more to the woodpile.

On the flip side, Obama took office and most of CONgress joined him in leading our Country furthur down the socialist trail. The ball in Time Square should have a big $ symbol on it to represent the fall the dollar took this past 52 weeks. The banks got thier bail outs, but who can tell? Not the average man on the street that is standing in the unemployment line thats for sure. Our Nation’s debt seems to be the ever expanding bill that our Great Grandchildren will be paying on forever.

Hard to think what the next year will bring. Other than higher gold prices…thats a given.

You know those pieces of oceanfront property you loved down south of Dangriga..right next to the pier we are supposed to be using already…well I was on a new roof of a new house going up on one of them ….Yep Winedoc’s friend Andre…I mean almost right next to the 600 ft. pier Coombs couldn’t get us on …well I was also on it today ..all the way to the end has been repaired and the word is quote “What is the matter with that guy.he is on the outs with the owner of the pier.” I had to stop myself from going into it….but 2 of those pieces you loved are in friendly hands….and we have some good plans going…

European News Note

The European Commission has just announced an agreement where-by the official language of the European Union (EU) will now be English, rather than German which was the other possibility. As part of the negotiations, Her Majesty’s Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a five-year phase in plan that will be known as “EuroEnglish.”

In the first year, “S” will replace the soft “C.” Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants skip with joy. The hard “C” will be dropped in favor of the “K.” This should klear up konfusion and keyboards kan have one less letter.

In the sekond year, there will be growing publik enthusiasm when the troublesome “PH” will be replaced with the “F.” This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the third year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible. Government will enkorage the removal of double letters, which have always been a deterent to akurate speling. Also, al wil agre that the horible mes of the silent “E” in the languag is disgrasful, and they should go away.

By the 4th yar, peopl wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing “TH” with “Z” and “W” with “V.”

During ze fifz yar, ze unesesary “O” kan be dropd from vords kontaining “OU” and similar changs vud of kurs be aplid to ozer kombinations of leters.

Well said. It would be hard for anyone to understand zionism, including myself who hasn’t walked the walk or took the time to read and understand the actual books and just rely on the internet. It would be easy just to point a finger at anyone in something people cannot understand and make accusations without any evidence or reasons. There are many people out there who are misinformed.To idenify any enemy even with-in there must be some clear understanding not just accusations and there is no clear understanding. But part of the problem is that too many people don’t want to know,  they just want a solution like the kid who doesn’t want to do their homework they just want easy answers. How does he even know then if the answers are right. Collectively, they could be just as  dangerous without informed opinions.
