the never ending story

Gott mit uns (meaning God with us) is a phrase commonly associated with the German military from the German Empire to the end of the Third Reich, although its historical origins are far older, ultimately tracing back to the Hebrew term Immanuel from the Bible.

For those not understanding….man made..worn…on every German soldier belt buckle in WW2…as they marched to…….war…

So allow us all to walk very quickly away from  …man …it is God’s will…just something you do not read in Reader digest….so very complex

NWO slavery

The babylonians started it and the pharisees brought it back to the Holy Land and thru the years made a science of it. I believe it is the bedrock beginning of the NWO …. slavery to debt.

Back to Babylon.

As Babylonians accumulated money, some figured the quickest way to make their personal store of currency grow was to steal others’. This was a problem. So people took their money for safe-keeping to their pagan priest. He stored it in the temple, the people got security and the priest got even more power than he already had.

Then the priest got an idea. Some successful people in the community had real assets: foods, lands, tools, servants, livestock. They wanted to start new revenue-making business projects but lacked the money to do it. So the priest sold them the use of the money under his control. These businessmen used the money, paid it back after a certain amount of time, and paid a fee for having used it.

Those who borrowed money for projects paid the money to their suppliers, who then brought it back to the temple. Since the gold came back to the temple anyway, rather than passing the gold itself around, the priest began issuing receipts that represented the gold—which represented actual wealth. If his borrowers failed, the priest got some of their wealth. If they succeeded, he got a nice interest payment. The savings and loan was born.

Then the Babylonian priest cooked his first book. He realized that of all the gold he was in charge of, only a fraction of it was ever withdrawn at any one time. And typically this came back, under different ownership, a short time later. So he began lending the same unit of gold multiple times. This was possible because a) he controlled the gold, b) few people came to claim their actual gold at once and c) people dealt mostly with receipts anyway rather than the gold itself. As long as most of the depositors never came to claim their gold simultaneously, as long as they remained confident that their clay receipts vouching for the gold would continue to be recognized and desired and they could trade them for items that were actually valuable, it didn’t matter.

Where did all the money circulating Mesopotamia come from, then? Where does our money come from? Nothing—literally. Thin air.

Rumour has it that those Aussies just can’t wait to come and protect us, We have been wondering for years why and now we know why.

They just love good Roast New Zealand lamb. Can’t get enough of it, especially if there is kumera as well.

Reagan and Clinton were beneficiaries

How did we get in this mess? Unbridled credit expansion. It is the % change that matters most. Reagan and Clinton were the worst.

Darn cut off…and to think that finally, after thousands of years, we were just beginning to get the answers.

North-Thanks for pointing out the HUI-I missed that-a very bullish sign!-! I loaded up today on options-I think it was one of those days when

the market gives you a gift-that the Cartel was determined to hold gold down and the big money gold buyers had merely withdrawn their bids was so obvious-the net effect of their intervention was like pulling back a slingshot-gold should make a big move next week–now that it is acknowledged and confessed on the likes of CNBC that the easy money policy will be in place indefinitely-[causa the weak report today]–I thought the Transport average being up an amazing 86 points today was also gold bullish-the trannies may be indicating that the worldwide inflationary boom of unparraleled proportions is alive and well–since silver is also an industrial metal, the Trannie action may partly explain its relative strength…

This means we will soon be hearing ‘good reasons’ why our boys should be sent off to help out in other people’s wars. I prefer it when they ignore us.

The events in Romans preceded the diaspora.

They Like Us Again. Our Punishment is Over. We Can Breathe Again.

The United States is poised to drop its ban on military exercises with New Zealand.

The move will be a significant step in a thaw in the NZ-US relationship that has accelerated since Barack Obama became President a little over a year ago.

The Weekend Herald understands it is likely to be announced next week when Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia and the Pacific, Kurt Campbell, visit New Zealand.

Mrs Clinton announced last year that intelligence-sharing co-operation between the two countries had also resumed.

In a further sign of the fast-track thaw, it is understood that President Obama has twice informally invited Prime Minister John Key to Washington.

The visit is likely to take place within six months.

Mr Key has also been invited to the anti-nuclear proliferation summit of about 40 countries to be hosted in Washington in April by  President.   Obama.

The fact that Mrs Clinton and Dr Campbell are visiting so early in the term of the Administration, and are making more than a fleeting visit, is an indication of the shift in US thinking.

The ban on military exercises, imposed by former President Ronald Reagan, has been in place since 1985.

It was one of the reprisals for the anti-nuclear policy - now law - that banned nuclear armed or powered American military vessels from New Zealand ports.

The thaw is not expected to extend to a resumption of ship visits.

But it is part of a wider foreign policy shift by President Obama, who wants to promote diplomacy and partnership as the cornerstone of his foreign policy.

The fact that the ban remained while New Zealand troops served in Afghanistan and contributed to the post-invasion effort in Iraq has rankled with the public.

Formal waivers are required for certain levels of contact between the military - the details of which the United States will not make public.

But it is known that New Zealand’s SAS has been given permission to train with its American counterpart.

Waivers were also required for the exercises New Zealand has taken part in under the umbrella of the US-led Proliferation Security Initiative, aimed at intercepting the shipment of weapons of mass destruction or material used for making them.

The second-term Government of George W. Bush reviewed the US relationship with New Zealand, and from 2006 a marked improvement took place, with increased high-level contact between the two nations.

High on the agenda of meetings next week with Mr Key and Foreign Minister Murray McCully will be upcoming talks about the TransPacific Partnership.

This is a four-country free trade agreement - begun by New Zealand and Singapore - that is to be expanded to cover four more countries, including the United States.

We seem to be turning into a religious site

I’d like to remind everyone that this is primarily a site to discuss the gold and silver markets with occasional welcome digressions.

Thanks

ferret @ 16:02 pm ……”But generally the Aussie golds have gone nowhere or down”

Clearly we have a case of ‘beauty is in the eye of the beholder’. I won’t bore you with the specific companies, but I swear 6 of the 7 Oz PM stocks that I have watched have behaved like eagles (though I don’t know what the indices have been doing).

I regard the new year period as time to reflect, and really enjoy the process. One conclusion is that that the ‘all paper will burn’ line over-influenced my investment thinking. Looking forward to hunting down some ‘cash rich’ companies when the next bottom arrives.

And I’m pleased to hear you are actually keepnig an eye on the ‘paper’ -a closet trader eh !!

If you believe one script and I believe another … one of us is right and the other is wrong OR we are both wrong. I pray that I never become unteachable because at 73 I probably don’t have much time to get it right. At one time I believed your script but reading the book of Deu convinced me that obedience to GOD is not an option. The serpent in the garden of Eden corrupted GOD’s word and mankind fell into sin. Like the serpent in the garden the pharisees came into the Holy Land and corrupted the remaining Israelites and they were dispersed to the four corners of the world and they will remain there until they return in obedience to the GOD who brought them out of Eygpt.

Can you deny that the descendants of Abraham thru Isaac and Joseph are NOT still under the curses of Deu 28?

I’ll take GOD at His word in Deu anyone else’s script is suspect.

I still covet your interpretation of Deu 28: 43-46

Frostbite’s caveat

I sincerely believe there is a GOD….we have souls/spirits…..i would suggest….to suggest that some are more honorable……humm we are going to endeavor to honor our neighbor…have peace…have dignity to the diversity of the real planet…hum-mm.

off for a walk…frankly..

As Christians we called to be Bereans, checking every teaching we read or hear to see if it agrees with scripture. ALL prophecy concerning the Holy Land cannot be fulfilled until the conditions GOD stated in Deu 30:1-3 are fulfilled. If GOD states it … I believe it … and so should every child of GOD, jew and gentile alike.

PMF @ 9:00 am … back to your reply.

I have always taken the ‘burning’ that Another wrote of as an irretrievable loss in value in a paper instrument. Lifeboat put it very well - “burning to ashes’. I would have considered the burnings you cite in the 70’s as mere ’singeings’ (per Lifeboat), toasted. I have had plenty of shares burn on me if we are to use your implied that softer definition. To me that represents fairly normally market fluctuations. I am of the impression that Another foresaw something more serious.

Next question. If “Fear drives investors into physical”, is it rational fear…….is it fear generated by those who do not have some balanced approach toward the proper investment climate…………..

*****

Is it a rational fear?? My first pass is that fear and rational aren’t words that sit well together. Thus I’d say no - it is not a rational fear. Most fear, and at a level ALL fear, is irrational. So I agree - taking the ownership of physical assets to the extreme, to the exclusion of paper, is irrational. I even think it is worth having a bit of fait around the place for emergencies, as you may recall from an earlier discussion.

Well done for tilting the discussion back towards level.

I was wondering about “Revelations”. It didn’t sound quite right to me. Thanks for the correction.
