they have cows in belize. the ag research center has several breeds available. i think even irish can learn from some of the old stories on the chisolm trail. we might even teach him how to use a “runnin iron”. with the stock trailers available today, i bet a bag of cubes and a dark night could prove profitable.

Hard to see your charts on a cell and Floridas but look pretty good. Looks like from what I see on my charts is we have a critical support coming up around 1070 to a room of 1050  ish on gold.If it hits that point well we all know manipulation is  going on anyways. But with everything as is how long can that last.

FGC Bernake U think he could retire to a Island before tshtf here. In Calif. things aree heating up already Can only imagine    what the future will bring.     Looks of desperation everywhere and who know what Gov. is up to  to squeeze the blood of the people.

Off-Topic … Rogers (Ontario) Internet Users ..

Penalize the pensioners ……what load of this is:

Some of us have the “basic” internet package called “ultra-lite” …. for $25.99/month … it gives us 60GB of internet usage @ 500 Kbps download speed & 256Kbps upload speed.  I have just been notified that this is about to change on March 1/10 …. they are going to increase the price to $29.99/month …. which I could live with (it’s about the 3rd. increase in the past 2-3 years) ….. but, they are reducing the usage from 60GB to “2″ GB/month.  The new rate will be $5.00/GB over the allowed limit …  with a maximum of $50.00 (previously unlimited).  According to their records, my monthly average usage is 7GB …. which means I will be paying 5GB X $5.00 = $25.00 more on top of the monthly increase to $27.99 = $52.99 ….. for this kind of money I could change internet providers with “high speed & unlimited usage”.   As far as I’m concerned …. this is a “no brainer” ….. Rogers … as far as I’m concerned you can

As if it wasn’t bad enough that my PF has just lost the last 3 months of gains in the past week …… then I get this kind of message.   Quote:  “At Rogers we are working hard to give you the best internet experience” ….. crap … with a capital “C”.    Rant over … strikerrod               Have a nice weekend everybody.

Thanks for the charts.  Great work as always.  My thoughts are pretty similar to yours.

Gold:dow

the other way around….instead of dow:gold.

Gave a clear buy signal years ago and is no where near a sell signal imho yet. Look at the daily 1 year and it is a pretty fine looking ihs.

As is,the monthly looks to be flagging, we shall see…

Thanks, I am not so sure we havent seen a bottom for pm’s around here.(although 384 hui is the center long term channel that may get hit) The intermarket chart I have been using seems to be getting hits on support and res across the board. $usb falling away from that bear flag breakdown and backtest that is near might have a positive effect on pm’s and neg on sm.? usb is the real unknown to me, because it is falsified anyways..

“don’t post many trades”

That’s fully understandable.  I’m in grokking mode.

Thanks for the explanation of your trading methods.  I know there’s a lot more to it, but just a peek is illuminating and helpful.

“I don’t fall in love with my trading positions - I am just dating them!”

LOL!  That’s very funny… and some of them are beauties, some dogs and some fullfill you and some betray you.

Best to you my nickel flipping friend.  ;-)

Physical PM’s

I see that there is a good discussion taking place regarding what the immediate future holds for the pm sector.  Looking at the charts on various time horizons, strong caution is definately in the cards at the moment.  I would recommend that under these conditions it would be wise for investors to do some ratio analysis, esp if they do not feel comfortable selling here for USD’s.  Trading into a stronger pm position (a lower percentage risk to the downside and a greater percentage potential to the upside) makes sense should this turn out to be nothing more than a short term head-fake.  My current analysis gives preference to physical silver over gold, and mining stocks over silver.  NIA

For those not familiar with performing ratio analysis you simply use your same indicators except where you put in the symbol, you simply put in both with a : separating the two symbols.  Examples would be (at Stockcharts.com) $GOLD:$SILVER or $SILVER:$HUI … Remember that the first symbol is used in showing the preference or not.  If the indicators are declining then the market gives preference to the 2nd symbol, and if the indicators are rising then the preference is on the first symbol.  Also do not forget that preferences can at times vary for the same analysis when viewing different time horizons.

I can not complain -but - the reason I don’t post many of my trades is because I don’t want someone trading off something that “I” said!  I don’t make money on every trade and as soon as someone follows me on a trade and doesn’t make money - then I am a dumb*ss.  IF, I mention buying something, I try to remember to mention when I sell it but that does not always happen because of my work or travel schedule.

I think I have said what I do,  I trade off overbought and oversold areas of RSI - in general terms, if it has an 80 rsi on the daily charts - I am buying puts, IF it has an RSI of 20 - I am buying calls.  I say in general terms because I also watch the MACD and ADX along with the RSI.  I also watch the RSI on the 60min charts to help my timing of when to exit a position - that is the reason I sold my GDX puts on Friday.  I never mentioned when I bought the GDX puts because if I said that I was buying GDX puts - I would have gotten pounded from six or eight different directions as being a bear - a nickle flipper - wrong - stupid or a dumb*ss.  It simply isn’t worth it.

I don’t fall in love with my trading positions - I am just dating them!  IF a trade goes against me - I take my loss and get out and never look back.

Not sure why the charts did not expand but here they are in regular size:

At least I have a high threshold for financial pain.  Being an investor in the PMs this is an important attribute.  LOL

Without looking at charts, the long term looks very good for us.  I just can’t imagine 6mos or a year of decline.

LurkerSince95 @ 10:06 am on January 23, 2010

Thank you for providing the links … I read the pdf file but the exercises mentioned I would not be able to perform based on my current condition.  I also visted the other link and found several articles there that caught my interest and I will later take some time to review.

As additional background, I was born with severe curviture of the spine and at that time (I was 3 years old) the medical doctors told my parents that I would be in a wheelchair the remainder of my life.  I have seen old videos where I was unable to walk or run without falling to the ground within a matter of a few feet.  Fortunately a local chiropractor (Palmer method) became aware of my condition and offered free of charge to provide me treatments until such time that the wheelchair would no longer need to be considered.  In fact he did such a fine job that later in life I played every sport as well as the average child my age and I even served 3 years in the US military.  So as you can now see, I have always had issues with my back and would whenever required get a chiropractic treatment.

In my later years I was involved in several traffic accidents (none immediately serious) but I guess those accidents in combination with the fall 3 years ago did a major number to my lower back.  As I said, medical doctors and back specialists have not provided me with a very positive long term outlook and the chiropractor I have been getting treatments from has also not been successful in resolving my current back issue.

As you stated, anyone who has chronic back pain is willing to do about anything to find relief and that is why I have committed myself to the research I mentioned in my previous post.  I know from past personal  experience that this alternative therapy works - the problem I have had is finding someone who practices this therapy near where I reside so I figured that I would learn all I could regarding this therapy and heal myself.  Typically I wouldn’t waste my time and funds if I hadn’t had that personal experience, but because I did and it worked like a miracle, I am determined to understand how and why it worked.  I definately see a potential light at the end of the tunnel - time will tell if this therapy can resolve this issue.

Thanks again for providing the links.

I don’t trade much.  Seems like I rarely have cash in my account.  They say:  ” Don’t fall in love with a stock.”  That statement is directed at me.  Must learn to sell… sell sell sell!

Hope you get some cattle soon.  Of course you’ll need a big buckle and hat too!  :-)

SOEE  is a sharp guy.  The  bullish rising wedge in the $hui with a fall away move  is problematic as is the H&S top and could cause alot of pain.

Maddog with his E-Wave  count was interesting.  A break below friday’s low would also be a real negative.  Most short term gold traders I read are bearish.

Intermediate and swing traders are cautious to bearish.

Long term investors appear complacent.
