Hardly a day passes that I dont say a word of thanks for this place in cyberland. The Tent is a place of mental refuge for a weary travelor passing through a land of insanity, lies, corruption, and governed by those in search of yet more power & control.
A home away from home. A place of common sense, and common values. Where our thoughts of Freedom & Liberty based on a sound monetary system can be shared, and built upon.
Somedays, its even a medical clinic. Treatments abound. Even for the stripes we bear for being Goldbugs.
Somenights, its a music box full of sounds that lighten the heart, inspire the soul.
Even the ‘food fights’ amongst us are most often filled with considered thought, an enlightening point of view, and usually with several courses to decide upon, feast upon.
And a chance to view life, or a particular situation, from within the eyes of another.
And that helps me out a whole lot. For the older I get, the more I learn that I dont know it all. Or that often, my always being right, was wrong. (grin)
And it inspires me when I think that this place exists, and grows, without any Gubberment funding or guidence. That these pages are here for all to read due to our own contributions of time, money, and thoughts. That so many folk, from varied backgrounds and life experiences, can gather and speak freely. Without the need for a book of rules. And that such a place as this can be successfully operated, without having the need for a trigger finger on some V Bop lever. Amazing huh?
That a group as diverse can open up a channel of discussion for all things gold. And silver. And oil, and mining, and talk of banks, and elected ones. That the connection to gold, has many ties, to many things. We dont have to have some narrow minded decider of what the gold topic is, or is not.
Thanks for the kind words, and for posting your thoughts. And I think you made a great observation today reminding us that only four months ago, we where celebrating the cracking of the 1,000 Trail Marker. So easy to loose the sense of direction when your nose is against the tree bark. Seasons, perhaps the best way to measure our progress?
Best, Farmboy
