Buygold - Icelanders - $15,000 apiece for their bank debt

Isn’t that about right? Their banks screwed up, and every man, women and child in Iceland would owe about $15,000 to Britain and Norway?
We are in debt at over $40,000 per man, woman and child here in the U.S. - for the bailouts since they started, and they are not over yet.
To think the founding fathers revolted over a British tax of 1 cent on tea.
When are we going to stand up to these b**tards?
Banks do not care, lawyers do not care. They have so many foreclosures, the best they can do is go through the motions of foreclosure. They know nothing else. They do not have the manpower nor any reason to modify loans with the gooberment backstopping it all.
One day, maybe, the people will realize they have lost the gold mine, and have nothing but the shaft left for themselves.
Should be interesting years ahead, seeing what form this country amorf’s too. Sure ain’t going to be a stronger democracy unless people get a spine.

Why does a chicken coop only have 2 doors?

If it had 4 doors it would be a chicken sedan!

Van Gough walks into a bar, and the bartender pours him a whiskey. A few minutes later, he comes back and asks, “You want another shot of whiskey?”
Van Gough replies, “No thanks, I’ve got one ‘ere.”

Guy walks into a costume party carrying a girl piggyback.
“Why didn’t you dress for the costume party? ” Hosts asks. “You just came with a girl on your back”

Because it they flew over bays, they would be called bay gulls. (Slow ones, bagels)

Belize report

O guys.. I have been back 96 hours..and here is the skivvy……. I have been offered this from my landlord…who is coming on strong for me… as far as support against the Jamacian an other touchy things

We have two things to focus on …a talipia fish farm and the excavation of roadbuilding materials from his other properties….he will go 50 50 on either situation he has some money himself and is a pretty good businessman… the fish farm will cost between 12,000 and14,000 to getin positon toake profits in 18 to20 months…the material excavation depends a little on the outcome of the Jamacian deal.. 3 small [15yrd. dump trucks] and an excavator…cost 100,000U.S
His next comment caught me by suprise…..He said “Irish if ayone of your friends comes in as an investor on either deal I will give him or her a 100×100 foot piece of land…if they want it on the mountain side of Southern Highway fine..if on Hopkins road entrance fine too…Anyone who has been here knows the instrinsc value of piece on Hopkins road…IMHO 25,000 U.S minimum….He is serious as can be…an he has already proved it by giving me the lower level of the building I am in for only an additional 150 per month..That takes care of my worries about Moe Baxters furniture and Carpio staying downstairs kinda on the lamm….and anyone who has seen my place knows this is a great favor……
So ..there ya have it..the latest…..now don’t anyone get smart and offer a hundredbucks ..for a piece of land worth 25,000….I would say about 10,000 would be an honest area……
Shakin the bush …doin the best I can wit what I got…haaaaaa
Lets have a good Asian open on Gold…..

I would like to comment that also their has been recrutes fron India and Europe and Africa while many American nurses and new grads now cant get jobs. I found that europe like Russia nurses as funny as it may seem have the same complaints about the filipinos and are appauled at the care. The Indians had similar complaints about having their hours cut or pushed out of jobs. The africans except a couple are the same or worse as the filipinos and can hardly read at all and worse on the floor found that out through the frustrated russian nurses. But I heard they are paying for these Africans and Filipinos to come here while there was a nurse from England  talked to on anothe site who cant transfer and said their getting a influx of people there too.  I think its because these people are saying they can get a over load of work done where Amerrcans will complain and say this is too much and will create a dangerous situation for the patients but what it is is compliant lies that dont get the job done ie normaaV/S when they were abnormal had to be hidden things so they can get out on time or donhave to be calling doctors and getting orders or so it appears,to cut staff and wages but they will eventually make more than u for doing less and jepordizing patient care and trust. Its about corporate greed now coupled with racisim at the expense of patient care.

Hi North.  At least we know as a sure thing that spring is coming.  As far as the other….

It better be in our lifetimes!

IKE

As a nurse you know if you did something like that you would catch all hell, problem is they get away with it too many times. I heard a male nurse from southern cal came up here to get away from that I thought “there too”. My memory leaving was a few foreign recrutes other nurses had to watch out for especially in the peds ward. But for the most part were Americans, Mexican Americans and pretty good team work. Work was evenly divided. Probably no more the American probably finds more work compensating for all the things that dont get done as well as constantly running across situations of patients that arent theres intervening on their behalf. In short I can sum it up to they look busy but nothing much gets done, lack of “skilled” assessment skills, lack of sympathy ie pain assesment, can’t lift so will hide if you need help so increase of back injurys to American nurses, can’t understand the patients, ignore change of conditions till their life threatening, double up on meds that are give twice their shift to make their med pass easier or just throw them in the trash, many times not even offering water with them esp if crushed, fail to give report on change of conditions cuz they wanna get out fast, little to no teamwork again may even hide on you or claim their busy in emergency where work is required causing delays, and apparantly afraid theyll catch something if they had to do CPR. fact is with proper nursing for the most part the patient wouldnt have to undergo CPR if they acted or recognized a change in condition many times so obvious to a lay person could recognize it. They will go to meetings after meetings and not their heads they understand but nothing changes. There are a couple I know who are good but for the most part their agenda is to take over and to dont want you there, kinda like sitting in a fox hole watching enemy troops charge but theres no one to call. I talked to someone who was a male nurse who worked in the Phillipines in the navy. He said that they think of us like some people think of blacks and blacks even worse. Maybe thats why their so mean and offish to getting close to patients or doing CPR.

Hi Ipso

I am sitting around wondering if it is the great spring weather (about 52 and sunny here today) making me write this stuff, or is it perhaps the unbelievalble notion that GOLD and HUI are finally going to run after this long bleeping consolidation. :) Maybe both. Or Maybe “just crazy after all these years.” We will see. I do think that HUI would get very interesting above 520. Been trying to breakout of that old high for a long time, as you know. Better be in my lifetime.

If the breeakout holds, it forecasts HUI 639 on this daily chart and a target of 850+ on the weekly chart.

Zimbabwe’s white farmers plan to seize government property

White Zimbabwean farmers whose land was grabbed by Robert Mugabe plan to turn the tables by seizing Zimbabwean-owned property in South Africa

Lawyers for dispossessed farmers believe that on Monday they will be able to start using the law to seize houses in Cape Town which are owned by the Zimbabwean government. Their action, which follows a landmark legal ruling, promises to humiliate Mr Mugabe and embarrass South Africa’s president Jacob Zuma, who was on a state visit to Britain last week.

The battle for justice fought by one of the white farmers, Mike Campbell, aged 77, was featured in the documentary film Mugabe and the White African. It was shown in British cinemas this year to great acclaim.

The film tells how he fought stubbornly to bring a legal case in 2008 against Mr Mugabe’s government at the Southern African Development Community tribunal, based in the Namibian capital Windhoek.

Mr Campbell won a victory when the court ruled that Mr Mugabe’s farm takeovers were racist in nature and therefore illegal.

At the North Gauteng High Court in the South African capital Pretoria last month, the farmers successfully applied for the Namibian judgement to be enforced in South Africa.

Lawyers acting for the Mr Campbell and a group of other farmers believe after that ruling they can seize Zimbabwean government-owned property, to recover legal costs from the South African case.

That was cute if I had a working computer Id print it out. The one alert but unresponsive something Ive seen a few times with these new recrutes there sending for. One actually called a code and when I was close by ran in she said pt alet but unresponsive and pupils were big. I had to start cpr. Another time two fillipinos  were standing at the end of the bed of a patient and I passed by the room took one brief look at the patient and said did you notice anything here. There response was he was okay a minute ago. They were standing right there. The patient was also unresponsive , no vital signs.

A GOLD BULL COOL

They say don’t short a market cool
especially if it is a Golden Bull.
I saw Bernanke the other day,
on bubble vision having his say,

promising all to keep GOLD at bay
far past June and far past May.
He said he’d let the dollar drop,
but GOLD the bull he would bop,

contain the bull with his shorts
make sure GOLD this year aborts.
He got out his shorts the color red,
waved them in front of the GOLD bull’s head.

He contained it fine with his rear
two pointed horns in his derriere.
So now he’s resting with the rest,
who did their all and did their best,

to contain the bull before it ran,
to turn the GOLD BULL into sand.
Now with Volcker he hold’s his head,
as GOLD declares the FED is dead,

that fiat is the banksters lie
that turns to nothing by and by,
GOLD real money from centures past
to its noble role it holds fast.

You’re right, I have been MIA and it’s nice to know you noticed! I’ve also been suffering from financial apathy that is not helped by gold doing one of it’s extended sideways correction things. Will make more effort to contribute…..when I have some worthwhile to say.

At least the folks in Iceland get to vote on whether they want to bailout foreign bankers. Our leaders just go ahead and bail them out at our expense, the criminals.

…….The resounding rejection reflected deep public anger over a deal which critics said would punish taxpayers for the mistakes of bankers and regulators and pile more debts on a country of 320,000 people struggling to rebuild its shattered economy………

The anger is the point I take from this. Angry people won’t agree to anything that anyone in power proposes. Coming soon to a country near you.

Goldie ……a tad on hospital care..and an insurance commentary

Really enjoy your many and informative commentaries.

For one, Me, as a Male Nurse to my wife, I can attest to the sometimes horrible Hospital situations ….

Could describe a few, but they might malign the Philippino nurses who seem to be rampant within our So Calif hospital system. Many cannot read much English (or not read charts), or understand what a patient wants.

Damn near killed her after surgery, not knowing what she’d just undergone. Grabbed her out of her recuperative bed and tried forcing her to sit up and stand and walk.

I groan as the ongoing proposed and re-proposed and restructured multi trillion $$$$$$$$ Obamination Health Scam keeps trying…trying and again trying to further imperil what health care there remains. Methinks this will be the death knell to the current regime in Whoreshington.

In addition to the vaunted Pole Shift Insurance certificates, which are (as we all know) Fully backed, and the ever popular Glo Bul W0rming and counterpart Glo Ball Cooling insurance policies, probably time to take out a

‘WILL this Whoreshington’ Regime last another year certificate? They should sell for $100 per cert paper.
