Carl Paladino has won the Republican nomination for New York governor against former Rep. Rick Lazio, the Associated Press projects.

With 42% of precincts reporting, Paladino leads Lazio 67%-33%.

Paladino has been gaining momentum in the polls leading up to the primary, and becomes the latest Tea Party-backed candidate to upset a more establishment Republican pick.

Me too brother.

I’ll miss him and I know many from Bocas del Toro and Nicaragua will mourn his passing as well.  My best to GG and family.  He passed on Sept 2 and was buried in West Stockbridge, MA on the 8th.  72 years old.  May I be so lucky.

If the suggestion of NRA involvement has any credibility, I sincerely hope that Canadian political decisions can be made without input from a foreign lobby group. I detect upset when Canadians are so naive as to try to influence political decisions in the U.S., and I agree that Canadians have no right to interfere in political decisions of a foreirn nation. So I hope the same is true, in reverse, for Canadian decision-making. Equiz.
