China has announced more measures to reduce inflation by pulling in rising commodity prices.

Rapidly rising inflation in the country has caused concern to China’s government, with Cabinet ministers deciding on the weekend to order local governments to boost agricultural production, stabilise supplies and reduce prices.

Xinhua has reported the government released a document also instructing local officials to ensure oil, gas, coal and power supplies were sufficient.

The official press agency also said there were orders issued for local councils to coordinate social-security programmes to provide a gradual rise in basic pensions, unemployment insurance and minimum wages.

Consumer prices have risen at the fastest pace in China in two years, fuelled by soaring food costs.

The nation’s consumer price index rose 4.4 percent year-on-year in October.

Are you sure you’re not picking up Thursdays silver closing price?? I show Thursday closed at $26.99 and Friday closed at $27.35, with the high so far today of $27.73. That’s only up a max so far of $.38

This indicates that the next two days could be historic-as the two well funded sides-the shorts and the longs-fight it out over options expiration-silver up 36 but 30 cents off the high–gold up $7

 As long as we have people that think like this, the U.S. is hopeless. Talking about patdowns and scanners:

We had one for the first time in Europe last month. Worked brilliantly everywhere - until we came to take the car back (it was a built in version). Would not locate the town, or the street, or the Holiday Inn where we had to return it. Obscure cul-de-sacs in Rochdale, miniscule back roads in unheard of villages in Brittany, through cobbled streets in Hofgeismar - no worries. Moderate sized town near Frankfurt - ?????

Glad you made it there and back without losing the keys to the Tent!  Ooooops, guess we don’t have keys - only flaps.  Sounds like everyone had a good weekend visit and it’s great to hear that Fully’s Mom is doing better! 

today the thing took me back home through the thruways? I didn’t touch it between Friday and today.

First and foremost, while we are not 100% out of the woods yet, we were all very relieved to learn that Fullgoldcrown’s mom was showing significant recovery after a huge scare last Friday night. The thoughts and prayers displayed here were incredible and I will tell you that Fully was significantly touched by the well wishes of the great posters here.

An evening with 2 of the best chartists (Grin and North) along with Warren was like a goldbug’s dream. I never knew all the complexities that contribute to the placement of a viable trend line. It’s definitely an art form! Warren has a wealth of experience. We talked about many precious metals stocks, the signicance of some 10 to 1 reverse splits coming down, the chilling 2008 fall draw down…the one that violated all trend lines to the bottom. Thanks you guys for making the trip and making this a memorable night! Looked down at the watch and saw that we were approaching midnight…couldn’t believe how the time had flown by. Lot’s of Precious Metals Investing learned by myself. A night was made special when Fully called late and gave the four of us an inkling and some hope that things were looking better for his mom…after what had been termed earlier — a disastrous start.

And a special thanks to Fully for being the ultimate host, even in the very unnerving circumstances.
