It’s already 2011 here, and the increasing caffeine levels are bringing life back into us. May your recovery be just as swift.
A Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year to all Tenters.
some good thoughts there! The important thing is - FOLLOW YOUR RULES without emotion. Have a PLAN and follow it.
Good luck in 2011 !
been out of touch for awhile. The month of dec came in and blew me away.I had to go to hospital for tests,it was like I was completely drained of all evergy ,I couldent’ even get out of bed ..major effort..I was suppposed to go to Dallas for Holidays ,if fact my wife was already there .Its a good thing my daughter insisted on emergency room visit as She had to go back to work and wasent going to leave me home alone not knowing what was going on .My son took two weeks off and came to the house every day, fixed me food to eat.The week spent in the hospital was useless .The Doctors tests showed me to be ok !. My son insisted on another Doctors visit with him there .This time .The Doc finally agreed more tests needed and we proceeded yesterday .Just getting out of bed was exhusting,so far indicaters are my oxygen levels ore low. yesterday did chest x rays . I went from healthy with energy to totolay exhausted in three weeks.I don’t know what hit me….it was like totol exhaustion I lost 12 lbs in two week and yet emergency room tests showed all is ok They insisted on dismissal. What idiots !
They havent heard the last from me .I finally found the energy to keep in touch .You guys are always in my thoughts .may a new year bring good health to all.
I have no doubt lost more money on PM’s over the last 10 years than I have made, but I am still looking forward to the future, and particularly to 2011 which I believe will bring many opportunities. I have learned much over the years, much from many of you who have willingly shared here.
There are many sharp traders here, but probably some, like me, who struggle to keep up, and make the right moves. So for us strugglers, I am going to share some thoughts for next year regarding my new trading habits. Kind of New Years resolutions for me. I hope they are helpful to some. Please do not make me feel presumptious. I am not any smarter than anyone.
1. Keep reading here. There is another SHZ out there, and I WILL make $1,000 in 4 hours again.
2. Don’t look at the bottom line. Look at EVERY stock EVERY day. Have a mechanical limit for loss which will override emotion, no exceptions. No exceptions.
3. Have stocks you’re itching to buy. That will help you dump the ones that are not holding up their individual weight.
4. Always have cash to buy something on a moment’s notice.
5. Take a look at every stock mentioned on this board. If it looks like something you’d like to watch, put it on your watch list. If not, dump it and do not look back.
6. Do not regret money left on the table.
7. Don’t chase. Put out stink bids, and let them come to you. If they don’t, maybe adjust. But do not chase. Be more patient. They almost always come back to you.
8. Good enought for its own category: BE PATIENT!!
9. Decide why you are here. There are several possible good reasons. You want to survive. You want to make money. You enjoy the game. There are other reasons, but the point is to be able to ask yourself if you are achieving your goal here, and if not, do something about it.
10. THE BEST ONE SAVED FOR LAST: DO NOT EVER LOSE $20,000 ON ANY ONE STOCK EVER, EVER, EVER AGAIN. MAKE $1,000 MISTAKES. DO NOT MAKE $20,000 MISTAKES. EVER! The road back from a $20,000 mistake is a long, hard, cold, unfriendly, (did I mention long?), road. Do NOT go there ever).
So… here’s wishing ME great success in 2011. Best wishes to all you very deserving souls.
I don’t post much but wishing a happy new year to all. Read the posts often and appreciate all that is written.
To all at the Tent. It has been a very profitable year and I couldn’t have done it without help and advice from all of you. The New Year shouldn’t be too shabby either. I too am looking forward to that double that Silverboom talks about in three months.

Good to have a new hand on deck.
it was recommended by Dave Morgan as a good silver play, the same time he was recommending Silvermex as a silver play. Since we bought in, Callinan is up about 60 %, and Silvermex is up about 100 % in the same time period. I like Callinan because it is developing with a royalty business model. As the link below indicates, Callinan insiders have been buying their stock too. I mention Callinan not because it has gone gangbusters, but because it seems a solid company, it is developing a royalty business plan, and also because no one else on Goldtent is talking about this company, at least not yet. Cheers. Equiz.
A lurker no more. Been a gold bug for 10 years, thanks to all for many good ideas. I will share back to you my thoughts and research. Happy New Year to all.
Yeah, but they don’t pay any interest! bahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
Great to have a post from you - hope you recover soon and will be around more - you are missed!
Looked at the chart again, and you know there is a gap a couple of days ago way back at 1.70. So the question of “when” comes up again. Can you see that gap getting filled? If it’s six months or two years from now, I am not worried. ![]()
I have been wondering that about CHGS. Is the gap going to get filled and WHEN? And I really don’t have an answer. Do you believe all gaps invariably get filled? And the “when” question is important too. So, how do you see it?
awesome !
Love all the cute little marshmallows
HAPPY NEW YEAR TENTERS !!
thanks
peace
cheers
