Copper ends at record high; gold gains in 2010

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) — Metals prices finished higher Friday, with copper closing the last session of 2010 at a record-high settlement. Copper for March delivery rose 8 cents, or 1.9%, to $4.447 a pound on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. The industrial metal gained 33% this year. Gold for February delivery closed up $15.5, or 1.1%, at $1,421.40 an ounce. Gold notched a yearly advance of 30%, its tenth consecutive annual gain. March silver ended up 42 cents, or 1.4%, at $30.94, up 84% this year. Palladium for March delivery closed up $17.10, or 2.2%, at $803.30 an ounce, logging a 96% rise for 2010. January platinum closed $29, or 1.7%, higher at $1,773.30 an ounce. For the year, platinum rose 21%.

Fully, that ABI I think is a 10 bagger too. I tried to buy it in size last week.
Shrunk my position by 25% trying to be too cute for half a cent. Bought yesterday though and up 15% so far. If it holds around 15 cents next week, I’m in for another 100k.

Didn’t realize I put Ng twice. I guess because it was so good. 
I just like these Chinese stocks in general. Also dabbling in Xing and Chgs. As you say, when they move, they move. Yes, SHZ looks great too, and I don’t think it will stay down for long. I think it has a lot more in it. Congrats to you and Buygold for riding that rocket. All the best to you in 2011. I am looking forward to comparing notes with you and Buygold and the other great goldtenters in the coming year.

Year in review theme
My best in 2010 were EXK, HL, NG, SLW, and YNG. For 2011 I am looking for more good things from HL, USSIF, ECU and am also looking at these wild stocks from China that Buygold and Silverboom have been talking about. In particular at the moment, I like REE or RES.v. GL and GT to all in 2011. It should be a wild ride for commodities.
